Obsidian Butterfly and Calla Crafts are teaming up together to offer you a fantastic opportunity. We will be holding regular jewellery making classes, including Silversmithing, Resin Jewellery, Anodised Aluminium Jewellery and Cold Enamelling. In these classes you will learn all the jewellery making techniques. All of the tools and materials will be provided.
We will also accept separate bookings for groups, so why not have an unusual girlie day, or a very memorable hen day! To see picture of previous classes click here. The Leicestershire Craft Centre 10a High Street Market Harborough LE16 7NJ Silversmithing Evening Class
19th September 7pm - 9pm - FULL £165 Our popular silversmithing course runs as an evening course over 5 sessions, so you get even more time to create beautiful jewellery! You will be shown how to work with silver, and get to try a variety of techniques including cutting, etching, filing, soldering and engraving. Complete beginners will start by making a silver pendant. Those who have attended one of our day courses or evening courses before can move on to making rings and earrings. More advanced students can have tuition in stone setting. The course price includes two pieces of silver and unlimited brass and copper. More silver can be purchased from our tutors if required. To book please click here Gemstone Ring 7th September 2024 10am - 4pm £98 Learn to stone set and make a chunky claw gemstone ring. A range of semi-precious cabochons will be provided for you to choose from to make your ring and extras will be available for sale too. Learn how to measure your stone for setting, saw, file and solder as well as set the stone. To book please click here Silversmithing Pendant Taster 30th November 2024 10am - 1pm £45 A great taster session where you will learn to saw, file and texturize a silver pendant to take home. It’s a great intro to the basics of this captivating and addictive craft! As there is no soldering in this taster session, younger crafters, aged 12+ are welcome. Learn how to make a simple silver ring by cutting, filing, texturizing and soldering your sheet metal. This class is suitable for those aged 16+. 5th October 2024 14th December 2024 8th February 2025 10.15am - 3.30pm £85.21 (includes eventbrite fees) From sawing, filing, texturing with hammers and drill, soldering with a blow torch, and polishing and finishing. We accept multi levels on the course, so if you have done silversmithing before, either with us or someone else, feel free to come and expand your knowledge. You’ll make items of your choosing rather than following a set plan to give you the flexibility to make this day personal to you. All materials included.
