An unusual woodpecker necklace, hand made from sheets of sterling silver and copper. The shape of the tree and branch has been hand cut from a sheet of copper, and etched with the markings of the bark. The woodpecker has been hand pierced from sterling silver and etched with the feather markings. The woodpecker has then been soldered to the tree, and a loop soldered to the back for the chain. The necklace has then been oxidised to blacken the etched details.
